Hello to each of you!!!!

Life has been busy, but most of it has been filled with blessings and His goodness!  It's so difficult to get back in the saddle, so I'll take baby steps.  This past weekend I went on a knitting retreat and hung out with 36 other fiber addicts at WideWater Retreat Center!  We had a wonderful time, and felt like we were at camp!  Our room, The Froggers, got the reputation for being the "rebels," but it was totally worth it!

Here's ME working on one of SEVEN socks I had going this weekend:

Here's KTMay working on one of her socks.  Isn't she precious???

I have so much more to share, but I'm on my way out the door, and will catch you all up later!

Blessings,

Patti!

 Hi Friends!!!

So much has happened since my last post.  We have had some low moments and some high ones, too.  God has brought special verses to my heart this week from Ecclesiastes 3..." There is a time for everything... a time to be born and a time to die... a time to weep and a time to laugh... a time to mourn and a time to dance."  A few weeks ago, Nick and Whitney had a miscarriage.  We know that God has a plan and their little one is with Him!  We've all had lots of emotions, but we know that God is good all the time.

David and I took a vacation with my Mom and cousin/good friend, Dianne.  We went the Asheville, NC, and had a wonderful time together!!!   We stayed at a B&B called Crooked Oak Mountain Inn. www.crookedoakmountaininn.com  We had AmAzInG breakfasts!!!!  Check out the free recipe (monthly) on their website.  We visited 4 knit shops, so I was thrilled.  Dianne is quite an accomplished quilter and weaver, so she blessed me with lovely gifts!!

Thank you, Dianne!

I had a fun trip last Saturday to Marblehead with 4 ladies from my knitting group from Yarn Haven ( Karen, Sarah, Cher, and Alana).  We shopped at 2 knit shops and had a yummy lunch.  The weather was perfect and the water, lighthouse, views, etc. were beautiful.  We spent time knitting and of course, there was car knitting as we listened to "Line and Violet" and visited.  For pics, go to Karens site www.t-townkniot.blogspot.com Recently finished projects include...

I'm SSSOOOOO excited!  I love autumn--fall decorations go up this week!!  I went with Nick and Whitney to their ultra-sound appointment.  Wow, what a thrill to hear/see that heart beat.  " For You created my inmost being: You KNIT me together in my mothers womb. I praise You for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful,  I know that full well.  My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together, Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be. " Psalm 139:13-16

It is amazing that God likes to knit, too!   It makes my needles click.

This project update is for you, Judie.

I completed Dianne's Lucy bag.  Aren't you proud of me Karen?!  Thanks, Dale Ann for helping me felt it.  Yarn Haven has a wonderful felting machine.  I had leftover yarn, so I made a pocket for the inside and two little purses to fit inside.  I'm taking these to her when we ( Mom, Dianne, David, and me) go on our Asheville trip in mid October.
